The founder of the company, Michael Labadie, is a photographer whose work has been published and exhibited in Paris, New York and Los Angeles.

Michael founded National Color Corp in 1982. From inception through 2002 the company conducted business as Chroma Copy. Chroma Copy was the first Cibachrome Photo Lab in Boston.

The Chroma Copy brand evolved with the new print technology and in 2002 the name was changed to Seaport Graphics.
